"Feel(d) is the communication between photography and drawing on compressed planes. Initially beginning as archived photographs, 35mm and developed commercially, the 3x4 images are mapped with these thin lines to illustrate the way my eyes move across a space through the confines of the viewfinder. The 4x6 is then scanned and enlarged to 36”x48” without altering the original size of the image, to create moderate pixilation of the subject, while still maintaining the integrity of the lines themselves. They are then printed on Xerox in black and white, further collapsing the distinction of line and image. The drawings begin in a similar way, with archived images being reduced to line and having language alter their perceived subject matter."
