VISUAL ART - ISSUE FOUR

Venus Untitled

GEORGANNE DEEN

Georganne Deen is a polymathic artist whose output takes many forms, including painting, digital drawing, poetry, and music. Southern gothic and new age cross paths often in Deen's work, and Flannery O'Connor's prose is just as likely to appear in a piece as imagery from a glamour advertisement. She has mastered her own distinct, captivating form of experimental narrative, which permeates everything she does, regardless of medium. The piece below is our favorite of Deen's earlier paintings.
