Meet Ayqa Khan
Nat. Brut's First Artist in Non-Residence!

We are thrilled to announce the recipient of our inaugural Nat. Brut Artist Non-Residency: congratulations Ayqa Khan! Khan is a Brooklyn-based Digital Illustrator and Photographer whose work pushes against stereotypical representations of South Asian women in mainstream media. During her tenure in this year’s Non-Residency, we will provide the artist with a month’s worth of gift cards to six independent cafés in New York City, where she will create work that will be featured in Nat. Brut later this year. Her project will be a multimedia exploration of her experiences with people, society, and American culture as a first generation South Asian Muslim woman. We can’t wait to share her work with you! In the meantime, be sure to follow her on Tumblr!
